Description
As many have seen, the top hats on the OEM Raptor coilovers are prone to failure when using aftermarket lift springs. The specific failure point is the small rubber bushing that sits in the top hat between the shock shaft and securing nut. We decided it was worth the investment to design a billet aluminum replacement top hat for Gen 1 (2010-2014), Gen 2 (2017-2020) and Gen 3 (2021+) Ford Raptors that will go away from a rubber bushing and instead use a FK Rod Ends uniball bearing that will secure the shock shaft much more effectively when aftermarket springs are used that tend to put much more tension on that factory rubber bushing, ultimately leading to a failure that could leave you stuck on a trail for hours.
Option of OEM replacement (no lift added) or 1.0″ lift.
- If you are going to be installing 37″ tires on a non-37PP Gen 3 Raptor, you will want to use the 1.0″ lift option to allow for clearance of the tire at full compression.
- 1.0″ Lift top hats will level out the Bronco Raptor without needing to use Spring Perch Collars.
